Abuse is used to gain and maintain power and control in a relationship. It is not an anger management issue.

Crimes against women are rising at four times the rate of other crimes. Every 12 seconds a woman is beaten by her partner.

Battering is the most common cause of injury to women - exceeding auto accidents, rapes, and muggings. Battering is the #1 cause of emergency room visits by women.
